There are many ways of creating a monotype print.

In this instance, ink has been rolled onto glass and paper laid gently across the top. Pressure is applied to the back of the paper enabling ink to transfer onto the paper, and when the paper is lifted away, the image is revealed.

The ink used in the image has been removed from the glass so the print cannot be repeated and is therefore a unique single edition.
