An original three layer multi-block lino and wood block print. Inspired by a late morning walk where the mist was still lingering on the lake shore. There was no visible horizon so when a duck came past, it could have been floating in the air.

 

Each print is an original handcrafted linocut print in which the subtle variations in each are treasured. 

 

The initial layer was made by rolling into onto a piece of wood and the paper pressed into it to pick-up the texture of the grain. The two subsequest layers are made using carved linoleum. 

A textured printing paper was selected to enhance the finish.
